Okay, that does not rhyme as well as the well known line about Columbus sailing the ocean blue in 1492, but according to a new book by the title
1421 - The Year China Discovered the World.
That is just what happened, and yes the author does seem to show that China not only made it to North & South America 71 years before the Italian kid, but did a LOT more exploring and came back with maps and
left behind solders and other people.
There was just no follow up because the emperor who started it all died before the fleet returned and the new emperor was not interested in taking it further.
I wonder what happen to those left behind?
