Hello!
Wong ist transcribed from Cantonese. There are two surnames, that are spoken in the same way.
The names i mean are in Mandarin-chinese:
- Wang2 (means king)

- Huang2 (means yellow)
http://zhongwen.com/d/182/d192.htm
But in Cantonese, both words sound the same ("Wong").
