I was recently given a vase scribed with several rows of chinese characters and eight painted horses. The giver repored that the text was a story of the "eight pale horses", but didn't know the story himself.

I've been unable to find the story or succesfully tranaslate the characters; nor do I know anyone fluent enough to translate for me.

Does anyone know the story or a website where I might find it? Is "eight pale horses' the correct title?
