Fasting is in the month of Ramadan. No food from sunrise to sunset. Easting is allowed after sunset of each day. The meaning of fasting is to experience what the poor suffer. Donation not less than 2.5% of surplus wealth to the poor. Pilgrimage to Mecca once in a lifetime. It is okay to have someone go in your place if you really can't make it.
