Li Wenyu (1840-1911 A.D.) Li Wenyu is a Catholic at the end of Qing Dynasty. Born in 1840 in Nanhui of Jiangsu province, he received his education at the Xu Hui Public School. In 1862, Li became a Christian and a Father in 1872. Li was a teacher at the Nanyang Public School and was the principal of Zheng Dan College. Li established a bimonthly Catholic magazine called 'Yi Wen Lu'. In 1898, this magazine combined with 'Ge Zhi Hui Magazine' to become the 'Yi Wen Ge Zhi Hui Magazine'. Li established the 'Sheng Xin Newspaper' in 1887.
