Song Jiang- A native of Jun Cheng county. Song was short and had a dark complexion, and was nicknamed "Black Song Jiang". His generosity in using his wealth to bear his friends out of troubles earned him the nickname of "Timely Rains". Song was also known as Hu Bao Yi. In letting Zhao Gai escape and killing Yan Po Xi, Song became a fugitive. Rescued by Zhao Gai, the two became bloodbrothers. Song joined the Liang Shan heroes and later became their renowned leader.
